VIDEO: Nobody should blame me for Chibok Girls abduction – Goodluck Jonathan
The inability to rescue the girls allegedly cost (Him) the 2015 presidential re-election.
Few years later, some of the students were rescued by the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Reminiscing on what transpired during the days, the Girls were kidnapped, Mr. Jonathan, now the former President said, his effort to rescue the girls was sabotaged.
Speaking to BBC News, Jonathan wondered why some people, instead of coming together to see how the girls could be rescued from the terror sect, would go to United States of America with Placards written ‘BringBackOurGirls’.
According to him, “even the wife of the then President of America, Michele Obama welcomed the people and endorsed the movement.
“No one should blame me for the action, it’s commendable, it’s criminal. I understand, I should be blamed because of my security chiefs, they did their best, but it wasn’t enough.
“Blaming me for the Boko Haram action was not justified, he said.
