Uche Nwosu Wins Imo APC Governorship Primary Election
The anointed candidate of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Uche Nwosu, has emerge winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) guber primaries in the state.
Nwosu, who is also Former Chief of Staff to Imo state government, beats eight other aspirants to clinch the ticket.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee for the primary, Gen. Ibrahim Agbabiaka, stated that Nwosu recorded a total of 269,524 votes.
Gen. Agbabiaka, hence, declared that “having scored the highest votes in the election to beat eight other aspirants, Uche Nwosu is hereby declared winner of the election”.
Reacting to his victory, Mr Nwosu assured that he will not disappoint Imo people if finally elected as Governor.
He, however, call on other contenders to work towards ensuring that the party emerge victorious in 2019 elections.
Similarly, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has won the All Progressives Congress Senatorial Ticket in the state.
Gov. Okorocha came first with 141,117 votes while Senator Hope Uzodinma scored 1,359 votes to come second.
