Election in Rivers State has commenced but the voters are experiencing some difficulties as they have been forced to cast their votes into sack bags.

The rerun election in Rivers State has commenced in some wards and local government areas in the state. However, things are not going as planned as it has been reported by a civil society group, Situation Room that voters are casting their votes into sack bags in PU32/11/13/012, Ulakwo Ward, Etche LGA due to lack of ballot boxes from INEC.
The officials are called upon to provide more help to voters as many have noted that casting votes into sack bags exposes the materials to avoidable danger.
INEC has also canceled the election in Ward 9, Unit 3, Ogu/Bolo LGA after hoodlums made away with the result sheets.
It was also gathered that Ward 9 unit 3 bolo in Ogu bolo l.g.a Okrika Election has been discontinued due to violence. Security agents are escorting materials back while materials were hijacked at PU 9, ward 3, Bodo in Gokana LGA. The situation left Army and party thugs exchange fire, according to Situation Room.
